Check out our latest blog. Charlton Wiggins, a very talented graphic artist here at the Times-News, is also a movie buff. Charlton is now doing a blog about movies that are not current releases. These movies are gems that you may have missed. I know that I have a few that I want to rent after reading what Charlton has to say. Check out the new blog, Cinema Rewind. Let Charlton, and the world, know what you think of the movies that he reviews. Or, suggest movies that you would like to see reviewed.

It has been a while since my last post. Trying to get things going again. We had some problems with our blog system, and had to completely rebuild. We are still doing some tweaking, but we are getting there. Submit a reply and let me know what you think of our blog system…or of any ideas for blogs that you have.

Gas Prices

Thursday, November 3rd, 2005 by Geek Dog

A few weeks ago we put together a system which allows folks to post gas prices from area gas stations; visitors to our site could then go and see what area prices were like or find the cheapest gas. We tried to get the system off the ground, but ran into a snag: no one was willing to post prices. We looked bad because the pages were empty; no prices were posted. We were forced to remove the links from our front page. The outcry was almost immediate. Folks wanted to know where they could find Alamance County’s gas prices. I repeatedly explained the reason that we ended the program and asked for volunteers to post prices. Most were unwilling to help, but a few agreed to help. Now, the days that we have no prices posted are almost non-existent. Check out the gas price page at  Roger Creasy ; I will gladly get you set up with a posting account.
